Bangkok, 11 de Septiembre de 2011, 911.
Hoy se cumplen 10 años de la caída de las torres gemelas en
el world trade center, pero también es el cumpleaños de mi gran amiga y
compañera de viaje Meli, no vamos a decir cuántos cumple pero lo que les puedo
decir es que no son tantos como los míos. Hoy fuimos a visitar varios palacios,
budas y templos, todos muy lindos y muy cargados visualmente. Viajamos en barco
y pudimos apreciar mucha pobreza en las casas que se veían desde el rio, como
así también muchos edificios lujosos haciendo contraste. Luego de visitar todos
los templos nos bajamos en el barrio chino donde recorrimos todo rápidamente
para evitar la invasión de olores y porque no solo estaba todo cerrado por ser
Domingo sino que se largo a llover y nos empapamos. Llegamos al hotel con la
esperanza de que la lluvia nos deje festejar el cumpleaños de Meli pero no pudo
ser asi que se postergo al desayuno y sin velitas, esto fue todo lo que pudimos
conseguir. Felices 30 Meli!!!

Today is
the 10th anniversary of the disaster in the world trade center, but also today
is the birthday of my great friend and travel partner Meli, I won’t say how old
is she but I can say is not so old like me. We visited many palaces, budas and
temples today, all of them very beautiful and very visually loaded. We traveled
on boat and we were able to see too much poorness from the houses next to the
river, also we saw huge and luxury building in contrast to those houses. After
that visit we take off the boat at China town where we walk the place really
fast in order to avoid the strong smell and also because almost everything was
closed on Sundays and it was raining and we got really wet. We arrived to the
hotel with hope the rain stops in order to have a birthday celebration but
unfortunately it wasn’t possible and it was postponed until the breakfast with
no candles, that was all we could get. Happy 30's Meli!!!
