Día 13 / Day 13

 

Medan, 21 de Septiembre de 2011, Llevame donde sea.

Insisto que no sé porque vinimos a Medan pero por suerte ya les escribo desde Singapur. Ayer nos fuimos a dormir con la información de que hoy teníamos un vuelo a Makkasar vía Jakarta en Indonesia también, cuando llegábamos alquilábamos un auto y de ahí nos dirigíamos a Tana Toraja, la tierra de los muertos. Pero sin embargo hoy nos levantamos y el señor Ahmad Sofyan, el conserje del hotel, nos dio la noticia de que no había vuelos y que nos teníamos que quedar un día mas, a lo que obviamente dijimos que no y ofreció ir al aeropuerto para ver si conseguíamos algo, en el camino paramos en la central de una aerolínea donde obtuvimos algunas reservas y luego cuando llegamos al aeropuerto el señor Dian Hadi, amigo del señor Ahmad Sofyan, nos dio un precio para viajar que no nos gusto mucho, entonces decidimos buscar por nuestra cuenta y pasamos todo el día en el aeropuerto hasta que finalmente tomamos un vuelo a Singapur y acá estamos. Les dejo una imagen de ambos aeropuertos, vale aclarar que en Medan fue difícil encontrar la puerta de embarque porque no tenían números, y eso debe ser porque había solo una, igual que en Singapur.

I don’t know why we came to Medan, let me insist, but fortunately I’m writing from Singapore. We went to sleep yesterday with the information of a flight to Makkasar with connection on Jakarta also in Indonesia, at the arriving we would rent a car and drive to Tana Toraja, land of the dead. However we woke up today and mister Ahmad Sofyan, our concierge, gave us the good news, there were flights and we had to stay for one more night, obviously we said no and he offered to go to the airport in order to try to get something there, on the way we stopped at the central of an airline where we got a reservation, then we arrived to the airport and mister Dian Hadi, Ahmad Sofyan’s friend, gave us a very unlikely price, then we decided to look up by ourselves and we spent the whole day at the airport, finally we took a flight to Singapore, and here we are. Here you have two photographs, one for each airport, one thing was difficult to find was the gate at Medan airport because of the lack of numbers, maybe because they have only one, exactly the same to Singapore.
